In his father’s footsteps, Abhishek Bachchan to appear in Bhojpuri film

MUMBAI: Amitabh Bachchan has acted in three Bhojpuri films. Following suit, Abhishek is to appear in the upcoming film of make-up man Deepak Sawant.

Confirming to the press, Deepak Sawant said, "Abhishek had asked me as to why I am not casting him in my film. The offer to work in Bhojpuri cinema came from Abhishek himself. All I can say is that Abhishek will be a part of our upcoming Bhojpuri film. We have a film in place titled, Ganga Ramji. It is a political movie. It is about how a third person, say a politician gets benefit from the fight between two politicians."

Sr. Bachchan’s Ganga Devi with Sawant is to release post IPL. It also stars wife Jaya Bachchan.
