Talking about her choice of scripts, she told IANS: "Action is not something I would want to do. I want to do a nice ‘Arth’ kind of a film on extra marital affair which these days we often get to hear or maybe a biopic on Indira Gandhi."
Post the success of "The Dirty Picture", every director is keen to work with Vidya, but when asked which director she would want to work with, she said: "I want to work with Gulzar."
If Gulzar is known for penning melodious lyrics like "Mera rang lai lay" to peppy Hinglish song "Kajra re", he is equally known for his directorial skills which he showed with films like "Parichay", "Angoor", "Maachis" and "Hu Tu Tu".
Vidya is happy with her Bollywood projects and does not want to get into Southern films.
"In south, they don’t write many roles for actresses. I am happy here," the 33-year-old said.
