Mumbai: INX Media’s channels 9X and 9XM will be available on freesat in the UK, in addition to the BSkyB EPG platform.
With over 130 TV and Radio channels, freesat is the brand new digital satellite TV service from the BBC and ITV. 9X is the only Hindi General Entertainment Channel to be available on the freesat platform.
INX Media founder and CEO Indrani Mukerjea said, "I am delighted to announce that 9X and 9XM, are now also available on freesat. 9X has reached freesat viewers in time as our epic series — Kahaani Kamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki was recently launched in the UK with English subtitles. We are confident that the wide variety of family entertainment on 9X and the world class Bollywood Music Entertainment of 9XM will establish a strong connection with freesat TV viewers."
Freesat is a joint venture between BBC and ITV and was launched in May 2007 with the aim to provide the best of free digital TV to the viewers in the UK. Freesat does not charge any contract or subscription fees and is available with a onetime payment.
Besides freesat, 9X and 9XM are also available on BSkyB platform in the UK, on EPG slot No. 828 and slot No. 829 respectively.
