MUMBAI: Producer Mukesh Bhatt has decided to make a third in the Jannat series of films starring Emraan Hashmi. Jannat, which was released in 2008, did decently at the box-office.

"We intend to take the franchise forward. Jannat was about cricket, Jannat 2 about illegal arms trade, the other stories in the series would be on different subjects," said Mukesh Bhatt at the music launch of Jannat 2.

Jannat 2, directed by Kunal Deshmukh, scheduled to release on May 4 clashes with the IPL 5th Edition cricket tournament.

So are the makers and the cast worried about collections?

"Last time, Jannat was released during IPL, all the theatres were almost full… we had almost got 100 per cent opening for Jannat. We are not scared of IPL… IPL should be scared of us," said Actor Emraan Hashmi.

Bhatt added, "No matter what would be the fate of the film, we would still make the third part."
