MUMBAI: The remake of the 1982 hit Satte Pe Satta, has been titled Seven. The film is being re-made by Satte Pe Satta’s original maker Raj N. C. Sippy.
The film is in the pre-production stages and is slated to be launched shortly.
Sippy says, “I have titled the Satte Pe Satta remake as Seven. In Seven Sanjay Dutt will essay the role played by Amitabh Bachchan in the original. Mithun Chakraborty’s son Mimoh Chakraborty will play Sachin’s role in the film. Shakti Kapoor who was in the original will also feature in the film.”
Sippy further adds, “I am even looking at signing on Mr. Bachchan to play a guest appearance. Unfortunately I do not have R D Burman, who had provided music to the earlier version, to compose the music. But now I am planning to have different music directors. I will be roping in at least four-five music directors in order to make the movie a musical treat.”
Meanwhile, Sippy has completed filming of two Mimoh starrers Jimmy and Aftab Pictures’ The Hamilton Palace.
