The script, written by Manmohan Singh, is based on a romantic comedy set in Punjab revolving around relationships and the existing generation gap and culture clash.

Munde UK De is a story of two young NRI boys played by Jimmy Shergill and Gurpreet Ghughi , born and brought up in the UK, who visit Punjab for the first time. The crux of the movie is about the journey of these NRI boys by, not only adapting to the varied differences in their lifestyles but also realizing and accepting what their true culture and roots are.

Manmohan Singh has earlier worked with Yash Raj Films in the capacity of a cinematographer for films like Chandni, Lamhe, Darr, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Dil To Pagal Hai and Mohabbatein to name a few.

Shergill says, "Munde UK De is the story of a couple of guys who have lived in UK all their life and now step their feet in Punjab, the place where their roots lie. The two backdrops are completely in contrast to each other and how these two boys see people and how they see them in return is what makes for a plot, which is interesting to watch. Also, for the character I play, I have gone through a makeover by sporting spiked hair and also developed a slight accent."

The music is by Babloo Kumar and Sukhshinder Shinda and singers are Amrinder Gill, Jaswinder Jassi, Sardool Sikander, Sunidhi Chauhan, Labh Janjua, Sudesh Kumari, Pooja and Ravinder Garewal.
