Anil Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham have been finalised as the three gangsters out of six in Sanjay Gupta‘s Khotey Sikkey. The film is slated to go on the floors in mid 2015.
Dostana 2 which was supposed to continue the bromance between Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham has finally been axed after five long years of dilly dallying. But fans of the much loved pair need not get disappointed, as they will be seen together in Khotey Sikkey.
It has been reported, “Sanjay is trying to put the right cast together. He’s managed to lock three actors. Besides John and Abhishek he has also signed Anil Kapoor. He’s in talks with other A-listers to play the other three gangsters.”
Khotey Sikkey is said to be on the lines of Kaante and Aatish. It is slated to be Kaante 2. The story is reported to be absolutely original.
Currently Sanjay Gupta is busy with his action drama film, Mumbai Saga. Gupta recently took on to twitter and wrote “Some very, very exciting developments are happening on the work front. Forming new alliances and strengthening old ones. Exciting times ahead.”
Coming to John Abrahan, well he is busy with his latest production titled Satra Ko Shaadi Hai directed by Shoojit Sircar and co-produced by Sheel Kumar.
If reports are to be believed then one will get to see John make a special appearance in the film. “It was John’s partner Sheel Kumar and filmmaker friend Shoojit Sircar who insisted that he play a small part in the film. Apart from being the producer, they feel John is their lucky mascot,” said a source.
John’s special appearance in the film will mark a turning point in its narrative. “John has already shot for the sequence. As a producer, he wants to ensure that he makes a good film that does reach out to the audience,” an aide of the actor said.
