Jump unveils first mobile game on Hanuman

MUMBAI: Following the announcement of their tie-up with Percept Picture Company (PPC), Jump Games, the publisher and developer of mobile games, is all set to offer their first mobile game based on PPC’s animated feature, Return of Hanuman.

The mobile game that showcases the original Indian superhero Hanuman taking on the evil forces of Guru Shukracharya and Rahuketu will be launched by Jump Games across all major operators in the country. CDMA subscribers can get the game directly via their operators while GSM users can download the game by messaging ‘Hanuman’ to 55454.

Jump is also releasing a black and white version of the game compatible with low-end handsets. Apart from this, there are two other mobile games that will be released from Jump’s stable as a part of the three-game Hanuman series – the first-of-its-kind gaming initiative for a Bollywood movie.

This is the first time that a game based on an animated character is being made available in Hindi simultaneously. Jump Games will also launch a countrywide contest around the mobile game where high scorers can win gifts and Hanuman merchandise.

Going forward, the game will also be offered directly to consumers via Jump Games Kiosks stationed at prominent locations, starting Mumbai and Pune.

Jump Games, CEO, Salil Bhargava commented, “Hanuman is the original Indian superhero with a phenomenal fan-following. We’re putting in our best foot forward to make sure that the Hanuman game is available across the country. The idea is that anybody with a mobile phone should be able to play Hanuman and experience the thrill. All I can say is that Hanuman fans should gear up for even greater play experience in the games to come.”

Percept Picture Company, CEO, Preet Bedi added, “We’re quite excited about the forthcoming Hanuman mobile game developed by Jump Games. Percept has always believed in innovation and gaming is definitely the way to go as far as promotions and marketing is concerned in today’s times. Not to mention a parallel revenue model that it offers. We have set an example for the others to follow with the Hanuman game series. This is for the first time in India that three mobile games are being developed for an animation feature. We’re looking forward to extending the Hanuman experience on the mobile.”
