Kabir Khan locks script, ropes in Katrina Kaif as female lead

MUMBAI: Director Kabir Khan, who was in the process of writing his second script for Yash Raj Films, has finally locked the script. What’s more, Khan has signed his New York actress Katrina Kaif as the female lead for the movie.

A source close to development tells Businessofcinema.com, "Yes talks about Katrina doing the film had been going on since the last five – six months but now she has finally signed the film and it is confirmed that she will be doing it."

Kaif has earlier worked with Khan in his last film, New York, along with John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh. According to the buzz, Kaif had always been Khan’s first choice. According to information available with Businessofcinema.com, Khan had also visited the shoot of Yash Raj Films’ Mere Brother Ki Dulhan in Delhi where Kaif is shooting with Imran Khan.

However, speaking to Businessofcinema.com Khan said, "I cannot comment about my cast right now till everything is finalized. I have locked my script and now am in the process of casting. Once the cast is finalized then I can share more details."

The film is slated to go on floors by March, 2011.
