Star World revamps; adopts new look & feel in Asia

MUMBAI: FOX International Channels (FIC) has given a major product enhancement to Star World in order to further consolidate the international network’s general entertainment category.

The new Star World provides an ideal platform for reaching adults aged 18 to 44 with many strategic agreements with studios such as Shine International, FremantleMedia, CBS, NBC, and 20th Century Fox. The programming also offers a much more diverse choice of comedies, drama, reality & talent shows, and live award events.

The Star World repackaging is part of FIC’s strategic commitment to redefining and growing the general entertainment industry in Asia.

The new Star World will be launched on 11 November , 2010 in Asia. Star World will feature a stylish look and feel to go along with its programming targeted at the affluent demographic. Among other exclusive content, the channel will feature live broadcasts of TV events, like the American Music Awards, Golden Globes, Miss Universe and more. Star World will also exclusively broadcast reality and talent shows as America’s Next Top Model, American Idol, MasterChef, Bachelorette, and Got to Dance.

Star World will also premiere a number of US series in Asia, including Glee 2, Cougar Town and How I Met Your Mother.
