MUMBAI: Producer Kumar Mangat’s new production venture titled One Two Three, went on the floors in Mumbai on Tuesday.
The film stars Suniel Shetty, Tusshar Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Upen Patel, Esha Deol, Sameera Reddy and Tanisha.
The film’s shooting commenced with the title song sequence choreographed by Ganesh Acharya on actors Upen, Tushar and Tanisha. Actor Kajol gave the mahurat clap for the film. Also present at the launch of the film were director Harry Baweja and producer Suneel Darshan.
The sets of One Two Three have currently been mounted in Filmistan Studio, Mumbai, after which the film will be shot on a start to finish schedule in Pondicherry, Delhi and Goa, informs Mangat.
The film is being directed by debutante Ashwini Dheer, who says, “The film is an out and out comedy about how the main characters chase their dreams.”
From playing a real life gangster in Shootout At Lokhandwala, Tusshar Kapoor will now be seen playing a wannabe gangster in One Two Three and is even growing a moustache for his role. “My character Laxmi Narayan aspires to become a gangster. My designers Alim Hakim and Manish Malhotra decided I should grow a moustache, like any wannabe gangster does,” he says.
In the film, the character played by Paresh Rawal too is named Laxmi Narayan, and so is Suniel Shetty’s. While Rawal’s character in the film sells lingerie, Shetty is a corporate executive with an MBA under his belt.
Esha Deol plays Tusshar’s love interest. “My character is that of a girl who aspires to go to Paris and become a famous fashion designer,” she says.
Upen plays a car salesman in the film and is paired with Tanisha.
The film’s music has been scored by Raghav Sachar ( Kabul Express). Mangat is looking at wrapping up the shooting by August and plans to release One Two Three by December 2007.
