MUMBAI: The combination of Bollywood stars in conversation with one of the leading film directors has helped Star garner high ratings, claims the television network.
Koffee with Karan, which returned to TV screens this February has garnered 5.5 million viewers on Star One, and is also the highest rated show on Tam’s Elite panel, says a company release. The launch episode with Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerjee got the channel a 1.6 TVR, which is more than twice the launch rating for the opening episode in the last season (C&S A 5, Metro), the release adds.
The second season of Koffee with Karan is telecast simultaneously on Star One and Star World. Adds host Karan Johar, “We promised to serve our coffee hot but I am glad to see that the response is steaming.”
