MUMBAI: For her wedding day, Kareena Kapoor has planned to honour her future mother in-law by wearing her Sharara.

 

Long-time couple Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan are to tie the knot on October 16. Reports suggest that designer Ritu Kumar would modernise the heavily embellished sharara that Sharmila Tagore wore at her wedding 43 years ago. However, Sharmila clarified to the press, “Kareena will wear my joda as it is. Nothing is being contemporarised.”

Apparently Kareena is also to wear a Rs. 40-lakh necklace designed by Rajkot-based Kruti Jewellers.The rest of her wardrobe for the wedding will be put together by her favourite designer Manish Malhotra.
