Katrina Kaif’s birthday wish: I need some love

MUMBAI: Love, says a very close friend of Katrina, is high on her list duo-ables in her 28th year. Katrina who turns 28 on Monday, July 16 has set a time-frame for herself to find love. In the next one year love better find its way into her life.

Says the friend, “In the last couple of years Katrina has only been focusing on her work. She has no choice. All her friends from the film industry have attached their hearts to a loved one. Katrina seems to be missing the chance to find love. She isn’t a party animal. Nor does she believe that love work is a good substitute for love. She has definite dreams of domesticity. She loves the life of a family girl. And when she sees her sisters happily married or blissfully in love she gets lonely. As she told a friend, ‘Every evening I return to an empty home. All my friends have a family or a love life. My family stays away and I hate asking my mom or sisters to leave their obligations and come running to join me here in Mumbai. I am not a little baby. I can look after myself.”

But yes, this sizzling babe loves babies. Now when her sister has two adorable kids, the idea of marriage and motherhood are immensely appealing to Katrina.

So here’s the deal.

The next man in her life—who , as mentioned, has to show up before July 19, 2013—will be the guy Katrina spends the rest of her life with.

Says the friend, “Katrina believes in romantic love. Her concept of romance is picked up from Mills & Boon novels. She’s waiting for the onslaught of love specially now when she has performed the most romantic scenes of her life for Yash Chopra’s film. Reciting the poems by Gulzar Saab, Katrina has become quite a poet herself. She secretly pens poems about solitude and companionship. But if you ask her about it she will deny it. She won’t exchange her romantic dreams for a fistful of admiring glances.

Another thing that Katrina won’t do this year is look for a larger house. For now she’s given up the idea of moving into a seaside home because as she told a friend, “There’ll be more empty spaces to return home to in the evening.

Yeah, she has friends. Loads of them. Salman Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Alvira Khan are her buddies. But where’s that one special person she would like to spend the rest of her life with?

The search is on. As she told her friend, “I am constantly searching. My eyes are restless because they’re looking everyone. When I am in the car, on a flight, at a airport …anywhere… I am looking.”
