Ketan Mehta & Deepa Sahi’s Tere Mere Phere first look unveiled

MUMBAI: The first look of Ketan Mehta and Deepa Sahi’s forthcoming romantic comedy Tere Mere Phere (TMP), was unveiled at the Dockyard in Andheri West on 12 January, 2010.

Other’s present at the event were: Riya Sen , Vinay Pathak , Anup Jalota, debut actors Jagrat and Sasha , music director Shivangi Kashayap, Irfan Khan , Randeep Hooda , Prakash Jha ,Saurabh Shukl, Sudhir Mishra, Manmohan Shetty, Romesh Sharma, Govind Nihalani and Parvati Balagopalan, etc.

TMP is Deepa Sahi’s directorial debut, presented by C & C Entertainment and produced by Mehta and Jalota. The film stars Vinay Pathak, Riya Sen, Darshan Jariwala, Sushmita Mukherjee and newcomers Jagrat and Sasha.

The film is a story about a newly married couple, Pooja and Rahul, who have a perfect love affair and a perfect marriage and go on a honeymoon in a motor home driving through the Himalayas… but then can life ever be perfect?! Inter woven into this is the comic story of Jai a small town Himachali guy and his girl Muskaan. TMP has been shot in the heartland of the Himalayas.

Sahi said, “There is too much depression around…if you want to have a good laugh, what better way than seeing a couple of men and women like us thrown together? I think half the problems happen because we take ourselves too seriously! I find the man –woman relationship fascinating! A Marriage is something that legitimizes this relationship. But having married how legit are the workings between them?! That is what the movie dives into but in a light hearted manner!”

Jalota said, “Doing this film for me was just like singing a song. Deepaji brought this project and told me the film is going to bring a smile to the faces of everyone associated with it…and she was right…Every time I see a part of it, I enjoy it very much.”

Mehta said, “It’s a delightful take on a very serious subject. The script is simple yet crazy; the film is adventurous and very funny! It is a film for all those young at heart who are married, un-married, much married or just thinking of marriage.”
