MUMBAI: Tarqashh, one of the last stories written by the late Sujit Sen, will be by his protégé Pulakesh Bhowmick.
Sen, who passed away in August last year, has written films like Arth, Saraansh, Prachaar, Grahan, Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke, Kagaar, Dil Vil Pyar Vyar amongst others.
Bhowmick says, “Before Sen passed away last year, he gave me three pages of the short story and asked me to make a film on it. Finally, I am completing the film of Tarqashh as the producer – director on a small budget. This film is a tribute to my mentor, who has had a great influence on me. He believed in casting unknown or new actors who can lend a fresh perspective to the character. The film is scheduled for February 2007 release.”
