MUMBAI: Balaji Motion Pictures and Phantom Films’ ‘Lootera’ starring Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha, has been postponed again.
‘Lootera’ was earlier slotted for a October 26, 2012 release. The producers then thought it better to release the romantic film on February 14, 2013 – Valentine’s Day.
However, due to Ranveer’s fully booked calendar, ‘Lootera’ will now hit the theatres on March 29. Ranveer had given his dates in January and February to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Ram Leela’, but the actor also wanted to be a part of the promotions of ‘Lootera’, so the delay became necessary.
Producer Vikas Bahl confirmed to a daily, "Ranveer’s dates were with Sanjay and as he is important for the promotion of the film, it makes sense for us to release Lootera in March."
