MUMBAI: WSG Films CEO and Vistaar Entertainment CMD Sheetal Talwar has collaborated with producer Madhu Mantena to co-produce and fund Ram Gopal Varma directed Rann.

This development, which took place a few days ago, will see WSG Films as a co-producer of Rann and Vistaar Entertainment will fund the film and its print and advertising. The movie’s budget is approximated at Rs 300 million (Rs 30 crores).

Vistaar Entertainment will fund the film entirely.

Confirming the development to Businessofcinema.com, Talwar says, "Yes, WSG Films and Madhu Mantena have collaborated to co-produce Rann and Vistaar Entertainment will fund it."

Mantena adds, "Sheetal and I have known each other for a very long time and always wanted to work together, but did not get a chance to. Rann was the opportune time to collaborate. Rann is our first film together and we plan to work on many more films in the future."

The film is currently in its third shooting schedule at Whistling Woods in Mumbai and thereafter the fourth and final schedule will commence in May. The makers are targeting to release the film in October. The distributors of the film will be finalized at a later stage.

Rann stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ritesh Deshmukh, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Rajat Kapoor, Monish Behl, Neetu Chandra, Gul Panag, Simone Singh and Neena Kulkarni among others.

The name of the movie was changed to India 24×7 a few days back but has been re-named as Rann as the title belonged to someone else. Bachchan wrote on his blog, "Yes.. its back to being called Rann since the title we wanted India 24×7 is with another producer who refuses to part with it."
