Magna Publishing forays into Business Of Cinema with Rs. 300 million

Magna Publishing the publishers of Stardust, Showtime, Society, Savvy Health, Interiors, etc, have now forayed into the Business of Cinema. They have formed their film division under the banner of Magna Films and announces initial commencement of three films budgeted around Rs. 300 million.


Long ago, they had entered Bollywood as Hiba Films with the film Mumbai Raat Ki Baahon Mein.


According to a spokesperson for the film division, “Yes, it’s true that we have ventured into film business under the banner of Magna Films. The first film Bhram will roll by end of August with a non-stop shooting schedule in Mumbai and Pune. It will be directed by Pavan Kaul and has screenplay by Bhavani Iyer and music by Pritam.

The film stars Dino Morea, Milind Soman, introducing super model Sheetal Menon, Simone Singh and Chetan Hansraj. The second production will be a Indo-U.S. collaboration in Hindi and English. It will be a big-budgeted movie. The third will be a thriller. Details of it are being worked out.


Producer Nari Hira and the owner of Magna Publishing is not prepared to divulge details but admits, ” Bhram it’s a tale of passion, love and intrigue.”
