MUMBAI: Mahesh Bhatt’s son Rahul will make his acting debut in a forthcoming Bhatt home production tentatively titled Suicide Bomber.
The film has been scripted by Bhatt himself. Sources say the film will be themed on the 7 July London transit system bombings; and will tell the story of one of the bombers who fails to detonate his explosives, and flees to his mother’s homeland, India.
While the film will not be a replay of the incidents of 7/11, it will dramatise events of the bomber’s life, who is the son of a Pakistani father and Indian mother born and brought up in Britain, and who fails in his mission.
Rahul will play the bomber and the film will be launched some time in July 2007. It will short partly in London and partly in India, say sources.
