MUMBAI: DAR Motion Pictures, the producers of Lalbaug Parel and City Of Gold, directed by Mahesh Manjerekar, is planning to make sequels to the films in both Hindi and Marathi.
According to DAR Motion Pictures chairman and producer Arun Rangachari, the collections of the Marathi version Lalbaug Parel for the first week across Maharashtra are between Rs 16 – 18 million (Rs 1.6 – 1.8 crore).
Rangachari said, "Mahesh Manjrekar would be directing the sequel as well. It might be another real life story related to Mumbai, although nothing has been finalized yet."
City of Gold is slated to release on 23 April, 2010.
