MakeMyTrip inks alliance with Airtel DTH to sell packages

MUMBAI: MakeMyTrip has entered into a partnership with Airtel DTH to offer their holiday packages to travelers across the country. This move extends the platform on which the web-site offers a choice of best-deal holidays to customers.

This service allows subscribers of Airtel DTH TV to view holiday packages on iTravel channel. To order for a particular package, the subscribers need to send the package code via an SMS to MakeMyTrip.

Consequently a MakeMyTrip executive will speak to the subscriber providing them with any details they may require and additional travel advice while planning a holiday. Once booking details are confirmed, payment can be made either through a credit card, a debit card, cash card or an internet enabled online bank account.

MakeMyTrip chief innovation officer Rajnish Kapur said, "We are committed towards developing innovative offerings to meet the evolving needs of Indian travelers. Taking our distribution channels forward from online and mobile, we are now adding television to this mix. Not only would this reach out to more customers and extend our customer base but will also act as a value-added service to Airtel DTH subscribers. This medium will now entertain, educate and offer great value holidays by offering consumers a chance to witness and experience a variety of holiday packages across the world."
