MUMBAI: It has been two years since ace fashion designer Manish Malhotra announced his desire to direct a film. Now, finally the wait seems to be over, as Malhotra is ready to launch his film early next year.
The yet untitled film will have two new faces, one of them being filmmaker Suneel Darshan’s son – Shiv Darshan, who has been signed on to play the lead. Malhotra’s film will be produced by Suneel Darshan, who is currently wrapping up the shooting of Shaka LaKa Boom Boom in Cape Town.
A spokesperson from Darshan’s camp confirmed the developments saying, “Suneel’s son has the looks of a star and the film will be launched soon after Shaka Laka Boom Boom is completed, which may be around January 2007. We wanted to launch this film before Shaka Laka Boom Boom, but Manish had prior commitments.”
