MAX appoints VPs for programming and marketing

MUMBAI: Hindi movie channel MAX has appointed Jasdeep Singh Pannu as vice president programming and Gaurav Seth as vice president marketing. Both of them will be on board this week onwards.

MAX executive vice president and business head Sneha Rajani says, "We are operating in an extremely dynamic and challenging environment and the road ahead is going to be very demanding but an exciting one. Jasdeep’s experience in programming with some of the best channels in the business and Gaurav’s experience in consumer marketing and communications across industries, will add impetus to our all round aggressive plans for MAX in the coming years. Next year along with a great slew of movies, we will also have the second season of the IPL on MAX and the coming on board of both these gentlemen will only ensure that our television audiences get the best entertainment there is, in the world of Hindi movies and cricket."

Pannu’s previous assignment was with BBC Worldwide as director of programming. He has also been with Discovery Communications India, Sahara One Television, ESPN Star Sports and NDTV. "In terms of content, MAX is the home of India’s biggest passions – movies and cricket. It is going to be my endeavour to enhance the movie and cricket presentation on the channel and take it to the next level and ensure that MAX achieves even greater success," he said.

Prior to joining MAX, Seth was executive vice president and head – marketing at Vyas Gianneti Creative. He has also worked with Zee Telefilms Limited and ESPN Star Sports.
