MUMBAI: Director Sudhir Mishra will direct an English movie for Shekhar Kapoor. The film will be a remake his own film Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin (1996), which starred Nirmal Pandey, Smriti Mishra and Tara Deshpande.
At present, he is busy with his next movie – Bahut Nikle Mere Armaan, which is a film based on politics in the 1950s. The film stars Vidya Balan and Shiney Ahuja.
“I narrated the idea of remaking Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin into an English film during my talks with my friend Shekhar Kapoor. Since the rush to remake old Hindi classics is on the rise in our Bollywood industry, I decided to do the unthinkable to remake my own movie in English. I think no one has done this before,” he says.
