Movie channel CVO acquires rights to 1000+ film titles

Mumbai: Hindi movie channel CVO, part of Hinduja Group’s IndusInd Media Communications, has added over 1000 titles to its library.

"TAM validates that InCablenet, the MSO that mothers CVO, has the highest connectivity in areas which yield the best TRPs for all channels. Needless to mention CVO rides on the prime band in all InCablenet centres, which is one of the largest MSO in India," says IndusInd Media and Communications managing director Ravi Mansukhani.

"CVO also has strategic tie-ups with distributors and is therefore available on other networks as well across the country. In CAS zones CVO features as the only Hindi movie channel that is available both as FTA as well as in the digital box," he added.

The recent addition to the channel’s library is a mix of movies across genres from the 1940s to contemporary cinema. "This boosts our competence to put forward a range of themes, festivals, star specials and various other innovations, tailor made for the brands on board," adds CVO general manager marketing and branding Sumeet Das.

The CVO basket includes films such as Baghban, Gangaajal, Masti, Omkara, Dhol, Dhamaal, Garv, Tango Charlie, Dus, Yahaan, Asambhav, Tumsa Nahin Dekha, Kalyug, Plan, Awara Pagal Deewana and Aap Mujhe Ache Lagne Lage.

The library also has the best of critically acclaimed movies like Mr. and Mrs. Iyer, Hazaron Khwaishen Aisi, 15 Park Avenue, Phir Milenge, Prahaar, Page 3, Choker Bali, Hyderabad Blues 2, Manorama-Six feet Under and Anuranan.

Das adds, "In the business of entertainment, variety is our middle name. Be it movies from the modest 50s, or the colourful 60s, the sizzling 70s, the innovative 80s, the trendsetting 90s or even a mélange of the new age millennium cinema… Our commitment to content ensures that we steal a march on our competitors."
