Mukta Arts Ltd has announced its slate of films for 2007-08.
The Company has signed up reputed directors for its slate of seven films. Of these two films will be directed by Mr Subhash Ghai and one each will be directed by Mr Abbas Mustan, Mr Anees Bazmee, Mr Anurag Basu, Mr Nagesh Kukunoor and a debutant director Mr Shashi Sudigala. Two of these films have already commenced shooting and the rest are in pre-production.
In the meantime, Whistling Woods International Ltd, a subsidiary of the Company has signed a MoU for faculty, student and resource sharing with the Norwegian Film Institute. The MoU was signed by Mr Subhash Ghai, Chairman of the Company and Mr Jan Erik Holst, Director of the Norwegian Film Institute on October 30, 2006 in the presence of Her Royal Highness, the Crown Princess of Norway. The MoU has paved the way for students of Whistling Woods International to hands-on exposure to European cinema.
