MUMBAI: Special effects experts Pixion ensured that Vipul Shah’s Namastey London underwent colour grading to make London appealing to the people in India and Punjab as attractive to non resident Indians abroad.
The company was roped in by Shah as the film had no room for experimental grades and fancy single tone colours as per Shah and Jonathan Bloom’s (director of photography) visualisation of the film.
London weather, which changes by the hour, guaranteed that there were some tough times on the matching of the scenes. Since there was no room for creative grades and experimental colours, Pixion worked out a bluish tone for a futuristic scene of Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif.
Another experimental grade was done to the Chakna Chakna song in the film, which was given the golden yellowish brown look. For the Punjab sequences, a technicolor look was decided upon, sources add.
