Now a sequel to animated film Krishna

MUMBAI: Bollywood has been recently going through a period of sequels hitting the box office with Phir Hera Pheri, Krissh and Lage Raho Munnabhai proving to be hits. Hence a host of producers started announcing sequels to their hits film. What’s more, a sequel to an animation film is also on the cards.


 


India‘s first 3D animation movie Krishna… Aayo Natkhat Nandalal, which will release on 29 September all over the world; will also have a sequel.


 


Krishna… Aayo Natkhat Nandalal producer Amit Shethia has announced Krishna 2 one week before the release of the film. Krishna… Aayo Natkhat Nandalal  is directed by Aman Khan and presented by Jayantilal Gada.


 


“Looking at the response from distributors, exhibitors and sponsors, I am certainly making its sequel Krishna 2,” says Shethia.    


 


Krishna… Aayo Natkhat Nandalal is India‘s first 3D animation film, which will be released all over the world including the UK and the US with 150 prints. Aman Khan has taken two years in the making with the skilled and colorful animation done by Media Solution. I have completed the film with a budget Rs 950 million (Rs 9.5 crores). The Telugu and Tamil dubbing rights have been sold at a good prize and these both versions will be released on 20 October,” he adds.


 

The animated musical feature film Krishna tells the story of Lord Krishna’s birth, his childhood spent in Vrindavan and his slaying of Kansa, the evil ruler of Mathura. The film features various adventures of his childhood.
