Once Upon a time in Mumbai is not shelved

MUMBAI: Milan Luthria is fuming. Rumors about his latest film, Once upon a time in Mumbai is spreading thick and fast. Starring Ajay Devgn, Ranaut in lead roles, loose talk of the film being shelved is being circulated, something that the film maker was quick to clear the air.

“I don’t understand why anybody would try to malign my film. I have already shot half my film across various locations in Mumbai. I started shooting for this film in July and the next schedule resumes from the 20 October. I will be shooting with Kangna, Emraan Hashme and Prachi Desai in this schedule. And I want to clarify that my film is very much on.”

The irate director continues, “Shooting for Once Upon a time in Mumbai has been very very difficult. As it is a period film and Mumbai has changed so much, getting locations to project that era is extremely tiring. A lot of our shooting is in South Mumbai as that depicts a lot from the 70’s and 80’s with its colonial styled buildings. And we also have to shoot on Sundays a lot so that we get space and less crowds.”

Security is another problem for the film maker. As the places are small and crowded, security has been beefed so that the actors can go about their business in quick time.

Once Upon a time in Mumbai is based upon the underworld and its business in Mumbai.

The last schedule of this film will start in December where Ajay Devgan will rejoin the unit to complete the shooting portions of the film.
