MUMBAI: The Indian animation VFX industries are growing at an incredible rate. Pala Flicks has a special combination of “western” background and on ground experience in India to help companies both here and abroad to make the most of the animation and VFX endeavors.
To help companies bridge the gaps they might encounter leveraging the Indian CG industries Pala is offering assistance with new project setup, project review, on-site supervision, pipeline advisory, story/script consulting, IP marketing, and education curriculum analysis.
“Our core goals are to assist companies who are considering setting up production in India or already have projects in the works that could benefit working with people who have experience here,” says Pala director Greg Acuna. “We can help both producers and service providers to deal with difficulties that often arise in productions being supervised from far away.”
Additional services will aid local producers with IP development through to marketing and educational institutions in understanding how to create world class schools.
These services will be managed by Acuna and Pala’s CG supervisor Jonathan Josenhans. Greg has lived in India more than seven years. He has over 25 years experience as a project management consultant as well as in the media industry as a writer, director and producer. He has managed complex technology projects for Paramount Pictures, Arthur Andersen, Exchange Cubed and others.
Jonathan is a graduate from animation and compositing schools in Germany. He has lived in India almost three years and for the past year has managed Pala’s “Earthlings” project.
