MUMBAI: Percept Picture Company’s distribution arm has acquired the distribution rights of yet another English film, Rush Hour 3 from Multivision Multimedia India Pvt. Ltd on a minimum guarantee royalty basis.
Starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, the film is slated for a worldwide release on 10 August.
Percept Picture Company director distribution and IPR management Ashok Ahuja says, “Percept has acquired the all India distribution rights of Rush Hour 3 except south India. We are looking forward to release at least 200 prints for our territories.”
While Percept will be distributing the film for Bombay territory in association with Shringar, it has sold the rights to Rajshri for C.P. Berar, Kapoorchand for West Bengal, whereas the other territories are under negotiations, informs Ahuja.
Multivision Multimedia director Ajay Gupta says, “I am in negotiation with sub distributors for south India. Approximately 100 prints will release in South territory in English, Tamil and Telugu languages.”
Prior to this Percept Picture Company made a big bang entry into the distribution of foreign films in India by acquiring the rights of Spider-Man 3 from Sony Picture Releasing of India.
