Phadnis creates special Nokia collection

MUMBAI: Technology and the arts have converged in a unique fashion, with cellphone company Nokia tying up with designer Vikram Phadnis to create a collection inspired by its latest model.


The collection, designed by Phadnis, will be showcased at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week on 24 March 2007 in New Delhi. Nokia, incidentally, is also the associate sponsor for the India Fashion Week.


Says Nokia India marketing director Devinder Kishore, “Mobile phones today are not just about functionality, but have become style statements for consumers. Vikram’s designs with their straight lines and minimalistic look; beautifully reflect the aesthetics of Nokia 6300.” Says Phadnis, “This initiative is unique as it gives me an opportunity to create garments inspired by the Nokia 6300, a piece of true style, design and craftsmanship.”
