Pix acquires slate of 100 new Hollywood movies

MUMBAI: English movie channel Pix has acquired a slate of 100 new movies, which will be aired during the course of this year.

Pix  has also redesigned its schedule around the IPL with its Summer Innings everyday at 7 pm, 9 pm and 11.30 pm.

Pix business head Sunder Aaron said, “Pix Summer Innings is a strategic line up of some of the latest Hollywood films around the IPL matches. This acquisition of new films and scheduling them around the matches will further strengthen our position. I am confident that our expertise in content creation and distribution will provide Hollywood movie lovers and PIX fans new avenues in enjoying the best of movies without missing out on their favorite sport.”

The new library includes movies like Slumdog Millionaire, The Da Vinci Code, Outlander, Spiderman 2, Passion of the Christ, Goodbye Bafna, Honey Dripper, I’m Not There, Austin Powers, Gandhi, August Rush, Terminator, Godzilla, Hitch amongst others.

The channel will air the un-cut version of Passion of the Christ on 10 April at 12 noon.
