PIX invites entries for Short Film Festival 2008

Mumbai: Multi Screen Media English movie channel PIX has launched its Short Film Festival 2008.

The aim of this contest is to recognize the genre of Short Films and invite entries from all creative and budding film aspirants so that their films get a platform to air exclusively on PIX, along with some great prizes. Entries are invited from 10 September to 10 October.

PIX business head Sunder Aaron said, "Last year, the PIX Short Film Festival had nearly 1,000 entries and this year we expect it to be bigger and better. PIX believes in not only screening great Films that have a compelling story line but also realizing the dreams of several movie buffs to one day see their own creativity get a chance for expression."

Participants can register on www.pixtelevision.com and courier films in either vcd/dvd format. The length of the movie should be minimum two minutes and may go up to 30 minutes. Entries are open all over India.

"At PIX, we recognize that short films can not only be great art, but can also tell great stories. With the 2nd PSFF, we are continuing our tradition of fostering and encouraging film makers," added Sunder.
