PIX telecasts BAFTA Awards live on 14 February,2011

MUMBAI:  PIX telecast the BAFTA Awards live on Monday, 14 February, 2011 at 2.30pm followed by a repeat telecast at 9pm on the same day. This year, the awards ceremony is taking place at London’s Royal Opera House.
 Award nominees include films like The Social Network, The King’s Speech, Black Swan, and Inception. Indian music maestro A.R Rahman has been nominated for the BAFTA awards for his composition in Danny Boyle’s 127 Hours. 
PIX Business head Sunder Aaron said, “PIX has been exclusively airing the BAFTA’s since 2007 and it is an honor to have the exclusive rights this year as well. The BAFTA’s recognize and facilitate the work of several universally acclaimed, great films and we are extremely proud that our very own AR Rahman is in the race for his second BAFTA for Danny Boyle’s 127 Hours. Also, The Social Network which has been nominated across 6 categories is a title we will be soon airing on the channel as a result of our exclusive output deal with Sony Pitchers Entertainment.”
