Prime Focus wins Emmy Award for America The Story of Us

MUMBAI: The 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards saw Indian visual entertainment services company Prime Focus win an award for Outstanding Sound Editing for Nonfiction Programming (Single or Multi-Camera) for work completed on Nutopia’s 12-part series America The Story of Us.

Prime Focus’ Phitz Hearne collected the gong at the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

Prime Focus founder and global CEO Namit Malhotra said, “This success, at one of America’s key awards ceremonies, is both a great honour and recognition of the strength of the international talent within our company. Congratulations to our sound team, and to production company Nutopia, on this fantastic achievement. This win completes a double-whammy for us, as it comes on the back of Avatar winning an Oscar for Best Visual Effects and Prime Focus was the only Indian company to have worked on Avatar.”
