PVR acquires Studio 18 movie line up for Punjab territory

MUMBAI: PVR Pictures has picked up distribution rights for Studio 18’s line up of forthcoming movies for the Punjab territory.
The line-up includes movies such as Kidnap, Golmaal Returns, Ghajini, Shortkut and Dil Kabaddi, which are slated for release from October till January. The deal is said to be clinched in the price range of Rs 95 million (Rs 9.5 crores).
PVR Pictures distribution head Gaurav Verma says, "Studio 18 has an interesting line up of films and their release dates have been planned in a way that will give a distributor the potential to exploit them well."
Studio 18 director domestic theatrical distribution Aman Gill adds, "In the past PVR has successfully distributed various movies in the Punjab territory. One can certainly expect assured transparency and a good exhibition of movies from them."
Kidnap will release on 2 October, Golmaal Returns is slated to release on 29 October, Dil Kabaddi on 5 December, Ghajini on 25 December and Shortkut on 23 January. Studio 18 will distribute these movies in Delhi and Bombay territories.
