Mumbai: PVR has launched its first four screen multiplex in Udaipur at the Celebration Mall. With this launch, PVR will soon strengthen its presence in the state. The multiplex will have a capacity of 1150 seats and will provide a digital movie experience to the Udaipur cinegoer. PVR today stands at 146 screens across 19 cities in India.
The launch in Udaipur is a part of PVR’s organic growth strategy of an India expansion and increasing its presence in Tier II cities. Audiences in Udaipur will be treated to a new cinematic wave that PVR theatres will offer.
PVR joint managing director Sanjeev Kumar Bijli said, “We are extremely delighted with the launch of PVR Cinemas in Udaipur. We have launched PVR in the city keeping in mind the growing needs of the discerning audience for a quality cinema viewing experience. We have plans to open around 50 screens in the current financial year and expand our presence to markets like Surat, Vijaywada, Pune, Nagpur, and Jalandar etc."
