MUMBAI: After raising funds for film production, PVR has decided to shut down the film production business.
PVR films, CFO, Nitin Sood announced the decision on a news channel today. He said, "Shanghai releasing in June will be the last production from PVR."
The corporate has previously made films in association with Aamir Khan productions and other houses. The reason for exiting the production business was not given. Perhaps the steady competition from other corporates has been taken into consideration while make this decision.
Sood added, "In addition we will be focusing on enhancing the capacity of the multiplex business."
