MUMBAI: Theatre chain Pyramid Saimira Theatre Ltd has registered a growth in its Q1 FY08 net profit at Rs 160.80 million (Rs 16 crores) as compared to Rs 58.3 million (Rs 5.83 crores) in the previous quarter.

Net sales for the quarter climbed 81.61 per cent to Rs 1,227 million, while the total income for the quarter jumped 81.19 per cent to Rs 1,228 million.

The company’s earnings per share for the quarter jumped 2.75 times to Rs 5.66 compared with the previous quarter this year.

Pyramid Saimira’s stock on BSE closed today at Rs 338.95, which was 2.76 per cent up from its previous day close of Rs 329.85.
