Mumbai: Pyramid Saimira Theatre will be producing a total of 52 films this year.
The company announced the production of the first 10 Tamil films this fiscal year, thereby becoming the first production house in the world to commence the production of 10 movies on one day.
The company will invest around Rs 350 – 400 million (Rs 35 -40 crores) towards the production of these 10 films.
The company has already completed six films in various languages and more than seven films are under production. Apart from the film production, the company is also engaged in producing content for television and other modes.
Pyramid Saimira Group managing director P S Saminathan said, "Pyramid Saimira believes in scale and speed of execution. Production business however requires much higher level of creativity compared to other segments like exhibition and distribution. The company has created a huge eco system for production, creates process to flower creativity and has laid the foundation to become one of the largest production houses in the world both in numbers as well as in quality."

These 10 films will be produced through 10 experienced producers with highly structured methodology and inputs from Pyramid Saimira Group making it a perfect marriage between creativity, structure and process," he added.
Pyramid Saimira Production International director K S Srinivasan said, "Pyramid Saimira Group will produce 24 Tamil films under this method of partnership with highly creative and experienced producers, will also seed new talents and also foster high amount of creative risk taking ability so that different kinds of films and genre are made available to the whole some family under one banner."
Some of the producers Pyramid Saimira will work with include Kovai Thambi, Amudha Durairaj, Sangili Murugan, Ramanathan and Karumari Kandasamy.
The announcement was made at a function held at Lady Andal School, Chennai. It was attended by some of the most popular names in the Tamil film industry including Tamil Film Producers Council president Ramnarayanan; South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce president K R G; South Indian Artist Associations president R Sarath Kumar; Film Directors Associations president S A Chandrasekar; Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners Association presidents Annamalai & Abirami Ramanathan; Film Employees Federation of South India president Vijayan and Tamil Nadu Film Distributors Association president Francis.
