Mumbai: Vishesh Films and Sony BMG’s forthcoming horror film Raaz -The Mystery Continues (RTMC) starring Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut and Adhyayan Suman is slated to release in the overseas market with approximately 70 prints. This number count makes RTMC the largest release for any Emraan Hashmi starrer and also a Vishesh Films production.

The movie will release on 23 January.

Sony BMG has licensed the overseas distribution rights to Shree International for a sum of Rs 15 million (Rs 1.5 crores). Shree International director Sajjan Damani says, "There is a lack of horror genre films in the overseas market. After Bhoot, no other horror film has been released in the overseas market. We are hoping to make it big with RTMC."

Major territories for Hashmi – Vishesh Films movies are the UK and UAE. Shree International is also exploring the US market this time around. Besides the above mentioned areas, some other territories the movie will release in include South Africa, Mauritius, Kenya, Tanzania, Singapore, Malaysia, Fiji, Norway, Iran and talks are also on for Russia.

In the past, Hashmi starrer Jannat and Aawaarapan too were released in the overseas market. "Jannat starring Emraan and produced by Vishesh Films released in the overseas market with 50 prints and did a business of approximately Rs 20 million (Rs 2 crores). With RTMC we plan to cross this figure," adds Sony BMG India director marketing Shanujeet Bhujbal.

In India, RTMC is being distributed by Sony Pictures India. Sony Pictures managing director Kercy Daruwala says, "In India we will release RTMC with approximately 350 physical prints and 250 digital prints."
