MUMBAI: Producer-director Rahul Rawail has started work on his next film titled Budha Mar Gaya. The film will star Anupam Kher in the title role. Additionally Paresh Rawal, Om Puri, Ranveer Shorey and Sarika have also been finalised.
Rawail says, “It is a reality based film that explores what happens when the head of the family expires. There is a dispute over property and money matters. There are 15 characters in the film and will be launched in January.”
Rawail’s first film was Gunehgar in 1981 and he also won accolades for Sunny Deol’s debut film Betaab in 1983, which was followed by Arjun in 1985. His last film was Jo Bole So Nihaal in 2005.
