Rahul Roy plays don in Crime Partner

MUMBAI: Actor Rahul Roy is playing a character with grey shades in a film titled Crime Partner. Roy plays a scheming don who hacks a conspiracy in crime business, which even leads to murder.


The shooting of the film is underway in various Mumbai locales. The mother-in-law (Anjana Sharma) and daughter-in-law (Neha Sharma) duo have produce the film under the banner of Banana Bite Entertainment. While Anjana Sharma is the vice president of Western India Film Producers’ Association (WIFPA), Neha comes from a business background.


The film introduces Debonair cover girl Fedora Saigal and Gladrags winner and runner ups Hafeez Dutt and Ashish Shukla in the lead. Ali Khan, Dinesh Hingoo, Ashish Shukla and Meenakshi form the other cast.


Crime Partner is directed by Sandeep Kumar (Ek Hi Bhool fame and under-production film Be-Reham starring Jackie Shroff and Arbaaz Khan), whereas the music has been provided by Vikrant.


Kapil Sharma from Banana Bite Entertainment production team says, “This is our second venture. Our first venture was a music album Ek Chehra, which has been released by Venus. Clinton (assistant of A.R. Rahman and singer of Shah Rukh starrer One Two Ka Four) had sung for this album made on a budget of Rs 1 million (Rs. 10 lakh) including audio-video. Kishore Parashar has scored the music. We did lose some of our investments but are not disheartened. Crime Partner is being made on a budget of Rs 7 million (Rs 70 lakh). Our plans are to grow as a big entertainment company.”
