Raj Nayak replaces Rajesh Kamat as Colors CEO

MUMBAI: Viacom18 has appointed Aidem Ventures founder and managing director Raj Nayak as the CEO of Colors.
Nayak will replace Rajesh Kamat, who quit the company to join Peter Chernin’s CA Media as India CEO.
As CEO of Colors, Nayak will be responsible for driving the brand and the business towards profitability and growth. He will report to Viacom18 Group CEO Haresh Chawla.
Chawla said, "Given Raj’s extensive experience and a proven track record, we’re confident of him charting out and leading Colors’ next phase of growth. Raj will be singularly focused on consolidating Colors’ dominance in the GEC space."
Nayak added, "I’ve always admired Colors for the way it changed the landscape of Indian GEC space within a short span. It’s got an amazing team of talented people and I look forward to working with them to continue to create newer benchmarks in the industry."
Prior to launching his company Aidem Ventures last year, media veteran Nayak was with NDTV Media as CEO for more than seven years. He also had a 10 year stint with the Star TV Group.
