Rajinikanth suffers stomach infection, hospitalised & released

MUMBAI: South Indian superstar Rajinikanth suffered stomach infection and was admitted to hospital earlier today. The actor was later released after a few hours.

Rajinikanth attended the launch of his forthcoming film Rana and after returning home felt uneasy and vomited a couple of times. There was also some fluctuations in his blood pressure and hence he was admitted to St Isabella Hospital in Mylapore, Chennai as a precautionary measure.

Earlier in the day, Rajinikanth gave the mahurat shot of Rana, where he will be seen along with actors like Deepika Padukone, Ileana D’Cruz and Sonu Sood. As was reported earlier by Businessofcinema.com, the movie will see Rajinikanth in a triple role and is slated to release in the first half of 2012.
