MUMBAI: Director Ram Gopal Varma has renamed his film on the news media as India 24×7.
Earlier titled Rann, the movie has recently been renamed as India 24×7 and stars Amitabh Bachchan.
"The title is no longer Rann, as in a battle or a war, but India 24×7," Bachchan wrote on his blog.
India 24×7 is based on the Indian news channels wherein Bachchan plays Harshvardhan Malik, who is the owner of a national news channel. The movie also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Paresh Rawal, Gul Panag, Neetu Chandra and Rajpal Yadav.
The shooting of the film began last week in Mumbai.
