MUMBAI: Rani Mukerji attended the world premiere of her upcoming film Dil Bole Hadippa at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on 13 September.
Dil Bole Hadippa stars Rani and Shahid Kapur and is produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by debutant Anurag Singh. Rani attended the festival along with Anurag where the film had its first screening to an audience of almost 2000 people.
TIFF co-director Cameron Baily said, "We are not looking for Indian cinema that mimics the European and North American films. We look for films that reflect an Indian sensibility in their filmmaking."
Singh added, "It’s nothing short of a life changing experience to be invited to such a prestigious festival for your first film."
Rani Mukerji said, "Hadippa is a film to be enjoyed with your family while having your popcorn and cola, and dancing on the seats all at the same time… it’s a film that reinforces the belief that if you have a dream and the desire… you will go to any length to achieve it."
