Mumbai: Actor-turned-director Jugal Hansraj, whose first animation movie Roadside Romeo will release on 24 October, said that he always liked watching animation movies.
He would also buy books of the movies and watch their making on the DVD, but has never taken formal training in an animation course. Not even before embarking as a director for Roadside Romeo.
Talking about his all-time favourite animation films Hansraj said, "I like Ratatouille a lot. I also like Jungle Book, Madagascar and a Japanese animation film called Spirited Away."
When Hansraj commenced work on Roadside Romeo and went to the animation studio Tata Elxsi for the first time, he was already clued into the process of making animation films due to the books he had read and the making of the movies he had seen. It was because of this that producer Aditya Chopra approached Hansraj for the project before anyone else.
